From Diode Laser surgery to PhotoBioModulation
(PBM): All the diode laser tips and tricks to be on the top
The use of diode laser in clinical practice scores many advantages in
delivering precise treatment with minimal or no bleeding, less post-
operative complications and pain. Whereas, PhotoBiomodulation(PBM)
therapy has been practically applied more than 50 years ago. This
lecture will showcase clinical situations by Dr Velasquez’s practice where
PhotoBiomodulation plays a role in various specialties of Dentistry such as
Orthodontics, Implant-based oral rehabilitation procedures, management
of periodontal and peri-implant inflammation, management of oral
lesions among others. You will find that the diode laser does not belong in
a closet and its use involves much more than just surgical procedures. It
can be used in your dental office as a routine, everyday treatment.
