Dr. Muhamad Faizran Loo

Dr. Faizran Loo graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from
Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). He had completed his specialty training
and obtained his DClinDent from the University of Edinburgh. Later, he
was awarded the Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros RCSEd) by the
Royal College of Surgeon, Edinburgh.

Dr Faizran is currently working as a lecturer in UiTM and has a special
interest in fixed prosthodontics, simple and complex implant planning,
placement and restoration.

Prosthodontic Considerations for A Full Arch Implant Supported
Rehabilitation
As we move away from conventional dentures and utilise more implant
supported prostheses, the considerations remain the same and we should
start with the end goal in mind. That said, prosthodontically driven implant
placement simplifies the planning of the future implant restoration
and brings no unwanted surprises during both implant placement and
implant restoration. This sharing session will delve into the importance
of prosthodontics planning prior to implant placement, the different
material and design considerations for a full arch implant supported
bridge and most importantly, how a single or multiple malalign implants
can result in a complicated design and planning, leading to an increased
risk of biological and technical complications.
