Lecture:
Tooth Proportions in Malaysian Population : Implications for Clinical
Judgment And Enhanced Treatment Outcomes With Composite
Restoration
With the storm of dental aesthetics and a more predictable option for restoration for
patients has taken over our practices, a lot of attention has been drawn to getting
our skills to be outstanding, be it in terms of the colour, the shape or the replication
of minute details of the histoanatomy of the natural tooth. Hours spent of restoring
the anterior aesthetic zone with composite more often than not would still leave us
unsatisfied at the end of the treatment with no apparent reason. In this lecture, Dr.
Nurul will delve into the fascinating world of dental aesthetics and clinical decision-
making pertaining to tooth proportions and the usage of this knowledge into
providing an enhanced composite restoration.
Our journey begins with a comprehensive examination of the role of tooth proportion
in shaping clinical judgment. We will uncover how understanding the nuances of
tooth dimensions can significantly influence planning of the treatment and the
execution of the treatment. With this knowledge in hand, we will also highlight
the versatile and transformative role of composite restoration. Discover how this
innovative technique can be a game-changer, allowing dental professionals to
enhance treatment outcomes and elevate patient satisfaction.
By the end of this lecture, you will gain insights into how precise clinical judgment
can lead to more successful outcomes in dental care and how to equip you with the
knowledge and insights needed to make informed clinical decisions. Studies have
shown how accurate assessment of tooth proportions can guide your treatment
planning process, leading to enhanced patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.
