Minimal intervention with maximum aesthetic has gained tremendous popularity in recent years. Today’s
patients are more demanding and critical of our treatment modalities with greater aesthetics requirement.
Direct composite veneers and Class IV are less invasive option. For direct composite veneers, only minimum
or negligible tooth preparations are needed with the obvious cost savings involved. Class IV using putty to
create a palatal plate than followed by layering of dentine, enamel and translucent composite. It has the
advantage of giving clinician complete control.
With the huge armamentarium of composite material and advancement of dental technology, creating a
composite veneer and class IV are more predictable than ever before.
