       Speaker’s Lecture :
Managing Dental Anxiety with Clinical Hypnosis
Managing dental anxiety through clinical hypnosis involves utilizing
hypnotherapy techniques to effectively alleviate anxiety, help patients
relax and feel more comfortable during dental procedures. By inducing a
state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, hypnosis aims to alleviate
fear and anxiety associated with dental visits. Patients often learn self-
hypnosis for long term anxiety management. Hypnotherapy can help
patients overcome dental phobias and create positive associations with
dental care. In this lecture, Dr. Thema will be introducing the topic of
hypnotherapy, discussing about the various hypnotherapy approaches
that are available and how hypnotherapy can be utilised in the field of
dentistry. She will also be conducting a short group hypnotherapy session
as a part of the lecture.
