Speaker’s Lecture :
Blending Technique and Technology - Achieving Bio- Aesthetics
and Bio-Function With Semi Direct and Cadcam Digital
Technology
In modern day dentistry, the quest for non breakable restorations has led
to evolution of material philosophies that guarantee numerical success
putting natural physiology and body balance at the back foot.
The evolving dentition, especially, needs options that permit the physiologic
wear and also do not effect the development of the stomatognathic
system.
Historically, pre formed crowns have been serving the purpose in the
growing primary dentition.
The material science however was static with hard to very hard materials
either managing only structural demands or fulfilling aesthetics with
compromising the substrate. To replace the structural loss and at the
same time maintaining the aesthetics without affecting the growth
physiology, fulfilling all mechanical and functional demands, the laser
sintered, glass infiltrated, preformed hybrid resin crowns prove to be the
the most sensible and unique option for the young dentition.
