                                Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Faisal Bin Ismail
                                BDS(Malaya), MDS(PaediatrDent)(Hong Kong), MPaedDentRCS(Edinburgh),
                                MPaedDentRCPS(Glasgow), AM(Malaysia), FDSRCPS(Glasgow)

                                Dr. Ahmad Faisal Ismail graduated with BDS from Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya
                                in 2008 and served the Malaysian Ministry of Health from 2008 until 2011. He then pursued
                                his postgraduate training in clinical paediatric dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, The
                                University of Hong Kong from 2011 – 2014. During his 3 years in Hong Kong, he was trained
                                at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital and Duchess of Kent Children
                                Hospital at Sandy Bay, Hong Kong. Dr. Faisal was awarded the Tri-collegiate Specialty
                                Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in
                                2016 and Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2017. He is a member of
                                Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and Fellow (Dental Surgery) Royal College of Physicians
                                and Surgeons of Glasgow.

                                Dr Faisal is a practicing paediatric dental specialist at Kulliyyah of Dentistry and Sultan
                                Ahmad Shah Medical Center (SASMEC) @IIUM. He has been appointed as Secretary for
                                Malaysian Association of Paediatric Dentistry (MAPD) and Expert member for Positive
                                Parenting Management Committee (PPMC). Dr Faisal is currently an Associate Professor
                                in Paediatric Dentistry and Deputy Dean (Academic and Internationalisation), Kulliyyah of
                                Dentistry, IIUM.

                                Lecture :     Managing Children With COVID-19 or Disability: From
                                               The Man Who Knew ‘Tooth’ Little
                                It has been established that children with medical comorbidities and disabilities experienced
                                more oral health  care  problems than  their  healthy  peers.  These children present unique
                                challenges for oral health professionals in planning and carrying out dental treatment.
                                Providing preventive and comprehensive oral health care to children with special health
                                care needs should consist of proper coordination and careful consideration, with the aim of
                                reducing the risk of developing oral diseases. In this lecture, Dr. Faisal will revisit the current
                                concept of dental management protocol for children with COVID-19 and disabilities and
                                share his experience in managing the cases.

                                Dr. Lawrence Yong
                                BDS (MALAYA), MDS ORTHO (NUS)

                                Dr. Lawrence Yong is an orthodontic specialist in full time practice, based in Singapore
                                and the founder of PKWY Dental Specialist Practice.  Dr. Yong’s professional experience
                                of almost 3 decades spans across the public, corporate and private sector of the dental
                                fraternity. He is adept in both fixed and clear aligner techniques and is a renowned mentor
                                to dentists within the region. He has lectured extensively on the latest innovations in
                                orthodontics and the digital orthodontic workflow globally. He is also the current President
                                of the Singapore Dental Association.

                                Dr. Yong qualified from the University of Malaya in 1995 and went on to complete his Master
                                of Dental Surgery in Orthodontics at the National University of Singapore in 2002. He was
                                conferred as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002 and was
                                inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in 2006. His research in the
                                field of 3D space analysis was awarded the Travel Award by the International Association of
                                Dental Research (SEA) in 2002.
                                Lecture :     Orthodontics in the Era of Digital Innovation : The
                                               Latest on Digital Workflow and Tools in Orthodontic
                                               Treatment
                                Objective:
                                1.   Exploring the latest digital orthodontic workflow with the use of intraoral scanners and
                                    CBCT imaging.
                                2.   Better treatment visualisation and outcome simulation via novel orthodontic software.
                                3.   Functional appliance treatment with clear aligners in growing children.
