and indirect bonded restorations. Besides dentistry, he is also a keen adventurer to places
off the beaten track and exotic destinations like Bhutan, outer Mongolia, Peru and Bolivia.

Lecture : Gorgeous Anterior and Posterior Composite
The importance of understanding polychromatic layering and shading. The latest about
immediate dentine sealing (IDS) and deep margin elevation (DME) will be covered. Minimal
intervention with maximum aesthetics has gained tremendous popularity in recent years.
Today’s patients are more demanding and critical of our treatment modalities with greater
aesthetics requirements. Direct anterior and posterior are less invasive options. Class IV
inspired by StyleItaliano using putty to create a palatal plate, followed by layering of dentine,
enamel and translucent composite. It has the advantage of giving clinicians complete
control. For posterior composite, placement of flowable after self-etching gingival floor can
get a superior seal and no post-operative sensitivity. Moreover, composite used can travel to
the difficult nooks and crannies for excellent adaptation. With the huge armamentarium of
composite material and advancement of dental technology, creating a gorgeous composite
anterior and posterior are more predictable than ever before.
1. Case Selection and Basic Parameter in Anterior Aesthetic Restorations
2. Shade Selection with Vita Shade Guide and Own Material Shade Guide
3. Details on Current Concept of Tooth Preparation, Etching and Bonding Protocol
4. Polychromatic Layering. What is Layering and Shading?
5. Tips on Masking Tooth Discolouration
6. The Significance of Producing Natural Tooth Anatomy (Halo Effect)
7. Tips and Tricks on Creating Macro and Micro Anatomy
8. Choosing The Correct Hand Instrument To Use
9. The Finishing and Polishing Protocol For An Extraordinary End Results
10. Immediate Dentine Sealing and Deep Margin Elevation For Posterior Composite
