                             Preventive Masterclass
Silver Diamine Fluoride: The Practical Approach

Dental caries has been regarded as a major public health concern, affecting millions
of children and adolescents worldwide. The concept of minimal intervention dentistry
(MID) has been introduced as an effort in managing dental caries, supported by
the best clinical evidence available. Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has emerged as
one of the MID strategies in managing dental caries, especially in children. The
effectiveness of SDF in caries arrest has been well documented in the literature and
proven scientifically. This workshop includes a hands-on practical demonstration of
SDF application and usage in clinical dentistry, as well as some tips and tricks that
can be applied when managing patients, especially children.

                             Learning objectives:
At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
                             1. Identify the proper case selection for application of SDF in clinical practise.
                             2. Understand the appropriate technique in application of SDF to the tooth structure.
                             3. Recognise and apply the tips and tricks in managing patient with dental caries
                                using SDF

                             Endodontic Masterclass
Pathways to Good Root Canal Preparation of Molar Teeth and
                             Trouble Shooting

The session will cover challenges and dilemmas in Endodontic preparation,
including discussion on working length determination, keeping patency, achieving
a continuous tape and consistent cone fit or master gutta-percha point.

                             Presentation overview:
The session will cover pathways to good root canal preparation of molar teeth
and troubleshooting with preparation including discussion on working length
determination, keeping patency, achieving a continuous taper and consistent cone
                             fit of master gutta-percha point.

                             Key learning aims
                             ■ Key aspects of chemo-mechanical preparation
                             ■ Use of small hand files for and patency and working length determination
                             ■ Use of VDW - Reciproc blue file for preparation

                             Learning outcomes
                             ■ Prepare at least 5 canals including some blocks and molar 3D printed teeth with
                                curvature and other challenges
                             ■ Maintain patency and not lose length
                             ■ Minimise iatrogenic errors
